Mt Barney Lodge is excited to support two of our favorite interests – the great outdoors and photography – by supporting the 2013 ‘It’s Better Outdoors’ Photo Competition.
Mt Barney Lodge will be providing a prize to be awarded to the most outstanding photo – whatever it is and wherever in Queensland (people outdoors, outdoor spaces, outdoor activities). This photo will be the Overall Winner of the Photo Competition.
The Overall Winners' prize is two nights Homestead accommodation at Mount Barney Lodge, plus your own private guide to take you to the best photo locations in the area. Valued at over $1840 this wonderful prize is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring and experienced landscape photographers alike.
Sponsored by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing, and organised by the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation, the QPWS ‘It’s Better Outdoors’ Photo Competition encourages photographers to focus on the diversity of Queensland’s natural environments and the wide range of recreation activities that occur within them.
The competition is free to enter and open for images taken in Queensland only. The winning images will be used by Outdoors Queensland/QORF and the QPWS to highlight the benefits of outdoor recreation and the beauty of the outdoors in Queensland.
