Why YOU need to do a Wilderness First Aid Course.

Are you an outdoor guide, teacher, instructor or someone who enjoys spending time away in beautiful natural places with your friends or family? If so then this 7-day Leaders Wilderness First Aid course could be for you.

When '000' is not an option, would you know how to handle that situation?

Wilderness First Aid Australia was established in 2010 and offers some of the most up to date and intensive First Aid courses in Australia. This is a nationally recognised First Aid course.

While this is a standard qualification for outdoor guides and teachers it is also a fantastic, in depth learning tool for anyone who enjoys spending time in the outdoors, or for people who just want the most up-to-date and detailed first aid training on how to respond to medical emergencies in a remote setting.

Mt Barney Lodge has hosted Wilderness First Aid courses for the last seven years and seen a variety of participants; from outdoor workers and enthusiasts, nurses and doctors who want more hands on knowledge of how to deal with an emergency situation outside of the controlled setting of a hospital, and also mums and dads who want that knowledge for their family.

The course will run from the 12th to 18th January 2015,  the training organisation is Wilderness First Aid Australia and hosted here at Mt Barney Lodge.

Camping and accommodation packages, with or without catering are available, and reservations must be made well in advance.

See here for more information on accommodation and meal packages.
