The Great Sunshine Way - Touring Route
The Great Sunshine Way follows a "figure of eight" route, starting in Brisbane, then heading south to the famous Gold Coast and into its lush hinterland.
It continues inland to the scenic Beaudesert, Rathdowney and Boonah regions.The route then traces back through Brisbane and heads north to the Sunshine Coast, between the coastal towns Caloundra and Noosa. Travel further north and explore Rainbow Beach, historic Maryborough and up to Hervey Bay, where you can catch a ferry across to the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island.
The last stretch heads back south via the Blackall Range mountain villages such as Montville and Maleny, before returning to Brisbane.
Follow the route for 10 days to immerse yourself in this diverse destination, or pick and choose and design your own adventure.
