Mt Barney Lodge is a unique venue to visit with a group as it can seamlessly host groups of up to 32 people in double/ twin share accommodation, or 16 people in single room occupancy configuration across 4 buildings.
With accommodation, full linen and meals taken care of, the only real decision to make is which adventure activity option suits the needs of the group, and we have a number of fully qualified Outdoor Education experts to lead these activities.
The following fully-hosted package is based on 15 people twin-sharing Queenslander Homestead Accommodation for 2 nights.
Day 1
After check in and a freshen up the group would experience a bushtucker walk on the property showcasing some of the natural food sources found close by.
That evening, the meal provided by Mt Barney Lodge will have a bush tucker theme to showcase how Australian food can really be utilised in great cuisine.
Day 2
The group will experience a morning session of rock climbing on nearby natural rock surfaces with fantastic views of the Lodge and surrounding mountains. A hearty lunch will be waiting for the adventurers upon their return. There is plenty of leisure time in the afternoon to relax or explore the nearby creeks and swim. An evening meal (under the stars weather permitting) that concludes with storytelling, stargazing and a campfire that stretches into the night.
Day 3
In the morning, a guided creekwalk provides plenty of opportunity to learn about how the Mt Barney Massif is linked to Australia’s Green Cauldron – an ancient volcanic hotspot, now a living Gondwanan rainforest. For the warmer months there are a number of swimming opportunities. Morning tea will be along the way, and will be followed by a spectacular lunch when arriving back at the Lodge.
Cost of package per person (based on a minimum 15-person stay): TOTAL $415 (Extra Pax: $385)
