Mt Barney Lodge derives its Ecotourism status from
Ecotourism Australia’s (EA) EcoCertification Program.

We achieved NEAP accreditation in March 2002 (EcoCertification was originally launched in January 1996 as the National Ecotourism Accreditation Program), and have regularly been reviewed by EA since then to maintain our currency.

You can be assured that our certification means that we have a commitment to environmental, economic and social sustainability through our documented and practical hands-on management.

We are a proud member of Wildlife Tourism Australia, a non-profit organisation established to promote the sustainable development of a diverse wildlife tourism industry that supports conservation.

Mt Barney Lodge is a founding member of the Rainforest Way drive linking 14 World Heritage National Parks. It can be accessed from a number of the suggested drive circuits.
