Mt Gillies is our warmup and gives you the opportunity to brush up on your climbing skills as we stop off on the way home for a short rock-climbing blast. Mt Maroon summit is one of the most amazing views as you are gazing at the Mt Barney massif with circular views of the region we are exploring. The descent takes you into orchid gully and onto a divine slabby creek with crystal infinity pools and rare plants galore. Mt Barney is the pinnacle and takes a full 10-12hrs.
