Join us as we guide you up the untracked and little-used North Ridge to the North Peak of Mt Barney and return via Rocky Creek.

Logan’s Ridge is the original first ascent route by white explorers. In fact it was the infamous Captain Logan in 1828 who successfully got to the top first.

For the more adventurous, a guided expedition up Mt Barney is the ultimate challenge and is a class 5 track. Enjoy the freedom and solitude of the World Heritage-listed Mt Barney National Park and take advantage of our experience and local knowledge.

This fantastic walk provides a different perspective on the Mt Barney Massif. With views of both East and West Peaks you really feel engulfed by the majesty of Mt Barney.

This mountain is a mini Mt Barney, and climbing Mt Maroon at 965 meters is a half-day challenge. Most of the route is untracked and follows ridge lines and steep rocky gullies.

On REAL rock faces! Try any of our 3 climbs graded between a 6-13 … the morning is yours. Enjoy the bushwalk and spectacular views whilst you walk to the climbing site.

Take a walk through history, as we guide you along the banks of the upper catchments of the Logan River. You will explore the creek system with plenty of opportunities to take a swim in cool, secluded waterholes along the way. Learn about the history and ecology of the area as you rock-hop through volcanic rock formations, coal seams and view ancient, untouched land from a spectacular lookout. This is a free activity.

Be guided around the gorgeous property of Mt Barney Lodge by Lodge Co-Owner Innes Larkin and discover all the local bush tucker the land provides and a history of its uses. This is a free activity.

Open from 2pm til close our bar is located in the beautiful shaded area by Boolamoola Homestead so you can kick back, relax and share some tales, trails and ales all by the live music. Located just behind Mt Barney Lodge, Mt Gillies hosts a maze of rocky outcrops that just begs to be explored! Join us for a family adventure as we discover the hidden secrets of the mountain by peering into dark caves, threading through tight crevices and scrambling about on rocky pillars! Kids will have an absolute blast as they direct the exploration with the help of our experienced guides. Adults can decide to be equally energetic or take it easy by appreciating some of the more tranquil elements of the hike – delicate displays of wildflowers and sublime vistas of the Mt Barney skyline. Something for everyone!

Two blue bartenders from Brisbane serving up tasty auditory treats until the bars all close. We feature a cocktail of old school hits, some funky new tunes, as well as some originals for good measure. Be sure to pack your dancing shoes!

Lead climber, Mountaineer and arborist, Henk shares his knowledge and experience on how putting the 6 P’s (Proper Preparation Prevents P*ss Poor Performance) into practice make all the difference on your expeditions. Join him for a great conversation on the do’s and don’ts for preparation and how to manage risk and deal with complications mid adventure.

Daring Aussie Polar Explorer Geoff Wilson presents Icemen: 200 Years in Antarctica which takes us on a physically hard and emotionally gripping adventure across the ice; exploring the crevasses of an explorer’s mind as much as the creases and cracks of the ice itself.  It draws on the wisdom of some of the greatest living adventurers as well as sharing with us the setting of world records of speed and endurance.
